Landmark is a privately owned, independent Civil Engineering and Construction Company, operating in the South of England from offices in Surrey. Established in 1998, they have a reputation for reliable and high-quality workmanship, delivering projects of ranging sizes from concept to delivery.
They employ over 90% of their staff and operatives and currently operates at a turnover in excess of £50 million.
Better Security in the Cloud
A demand for better security and more sustainable growth prompted a move to the cloud. Host-Logic performed a migration from on-site email to Office 365.
We also provided additional levels of email security to protect against modern-day threats like malware, anti-spoofing and viruses. Additional SPF, DKIM and DMARC policies were put in place to help protect email reputation, ensuring emails get to where they need to be in a timely manner.
Proactive Monitoring
Host-Logic proactively monitors multiple endpoints, including email systems against potential threats and downtime. This additional level of care ensures we can react to any potential issues before they ever turn into a problem for the business and ensures no downtime for users.
Specialist Hardware and Surveying Equipment
Landmark’s crew and engineers use specialist equipment which goes beyond laptops and traditional infrastructure. Even this equipment is included in Host Logic’s care to ensure updates are applied when required and security is maintained.
Data Security
New GDPR requirements in 2018 prompted Landmark to consider additional security measure to ensure all data, including sensitive project data stays safe.
We ensured compliance for certifications and GDPR by enabling hard drive-level encryption on all laptops and ensuring all removeable media is encrypted. This ensures that in the rare case that a device is lost or stolen, Landmark’s data stays safe.
Additional device management policies via cloud-based solutions allow remote wiping of compromised devices.
